(a) The registration to the conference is binding.
(b) The participation fee is payable in Euro within 14 days of the invoice date and in any case by 31 January 2027<\/strong> \u2014 the same date as the cancellation deadline. If it has not reached the GNWI account by then, we can no longer guarantee your place; should payment arrive later we will try to accommodate you, subject to availability at the venue.
(c) Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
(d) Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis according to receipt of payment.
(e) If there are more registrations than available places a waiting list is being operated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
(a) All cancellations must be made by written notification and addressed to the conference organizers. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted.
(b) You may cancel free of charge until 31 January 2027<\/strong>. After that date your registration is binding and the full fee of 1,450 Euro remains payable, whether or not you attend. That date is the day by which we must confirm the final number of rooms to the venue, and it applies to all participants alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The personal information you provide is stored by the organisers and used to manage your registration, to issue your invoice, and to inform you about future IWOMI events. To arrange your accommodation and meals we pass your name to Schloss Hotel Korb, Missian near Bolzano, Italy, which hosts the workshop, and your address where the hotel requires it for its own guest registration obligations. This transfer is necessary to perform your registration (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The details of your institution, its address and its VAT ID are used for invoicing and are not passed to the hotel. Beyond this we disclose your data to no third party, and we never sell it. The controller is Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Naturwissenschaftliche Informatik (GNWI), Merlinweg 11, 44229 Dortmund, Germany, reachable at iwomi-organisers@googlegroups.com. You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Neither the workshop organizers, nor its agents or representatives, will be responsible for any injury, loss or damage that may occur to the attendee from any cause whatsoever. Attendees shall obtain, at their own expense, adequate insurance against any such injury, loss or damage. The conference organizers shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations as a result of strikes, riots, acts of God, or any other cause beyond its control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Any action that workshop organizers or attendee may bring against the other, based upon or in any way relating to this conference or its performance, shall be brought in a court located within the Germany jurisdiction, and conference organizers and attendee do hereby waive all questions of personal jurisdiction or venue in order to give effect of this provision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to the nature of this open science event, the workshop program may be subject to changes based on the decision of the workshop participants during the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
